1.Definitions and scope

"offline" (the "Network") is operated by offline group, llc ("offline group," the "Company"), a Wyoming limited liability company and the parent legal entity of the offline brand. References to "offline," "we," "us," and "our" throughout this Cookie Policy (this "Policy") mean offline group, llc, acting through the offline brand, unless otherwise specified. "User" means any individual who accesses or uses offline.live (the "Site").

This Policy explains how offline uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Site, the categories of cookies deployed, the legal basis on which offline relies in each jurisdiction in which the Site is accessed, and the choices available to a User.

This Policy supplements, and should be read together with, offline's Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, each of which is incorporated into this Policy by reference. In the event of a conflict between this Policy and the Privacy Policy with respect to the processing of personal data via cookies, the Privacy Policy governs.

2.What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files placed on a User's device when the User visits a website. offline may also use functionally similar technologies, including local storage, pixels, and software development kits, each of which is treated as a "cookie" for purposes of this Policy unless the context requires otherwise. These technologies allow the Site to function correctly, remember preferences, and, where enabled, measure aggregate usage.

3.Categories of cookies used

offline.live uses a limited set of cookies, kept intentionally minimal in line with offline's approach to privacy and discretion:

CategoryPurposeConsent basis
Strictly necessaryCore Site functionality: session handling, security, and load balancing (via Cloudflare)Not subject to opt-in consent; cannot be disabled without affecting Site functionality
Analytics (not currently enabled)Understanding aggregate Site usage in order to improve the experienceOpt-in consent required in jurisdictions described in Section 4; opt-out available elsewhere
Preference (not currently enabled)Remembering display or interaction preferencesOpt-in consent required in jurisdictions described in Section 4; opt-out available elsewhere

offline currently uses only strictly necessary cookies and no tracking or analytics cookies. offline measures aggregate visits to the Site with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not store identifiers on a User's device. offline does not use cookies for third-party advertising purposes (see Section 6).

4.Legal basis and consent framework by jurisdiction

The legal basis on which offline relies to place non-essential cookies, and the consent mechanism presented to a User, depends on the User's location at the time of access. Because offline currently uses only strictly necessary cookies (see Section 3), no cookie notice is currently displayed on the Site. The consent mechanisms described in this Section 4 will apply if and when offline introduces non-essential cookies.

4.1 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the EU ePrivacy Directive (as implemented in national law), and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) apply, offline relies on a User's prior, informed, opt-in consent before placing any cookie that is not strictly necessary to deliver the Site. A User in these jurisdictions is presented with a cookie notice on first visit that allows the User to accept or decline non-essential cookies on a granular, category-by-category basis, and to withdraw consent at any time with the same ease with which it was given.

4.2 United States

There is no single federal cookie law in the United States. A growing number of US states, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah, have enacted comprehensive privacy statutes that grant residents the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal data and of certain targeted advertising, where such activities occur. offline does not sell personal data and does not use cookies for third-party advertising (see Section 6), which limits the practical scope of these rights as applied to offline's cookie use. Where applicable, offline honors the Global Privacy Control and other recognized opt-out signals as a valid exercise of a User's right to opt out under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, and under equivalent state laws. A User in the United States is presented with a cookie notice offering the ability to decline non-essential cookies.

4.3 Asia-Pacific

Consent standards vary by jurisdiction within the Asia-Pacific region:

4.4 Other jurisdictions

Where a User accesses the Site from a jurisdiction not otherwise addressed in this Section 4, offline provides notice of its use of cookies and an opportunity to decline non-essential cookies, consistent with applicable local law.

5.Managing cookies and preferences

Where consent is required under Section 4, a User will be presented with a cookie notice on first visit allowing the User to accept or decline non-essential cookies, once offline introduces any non-essential cookies. A User may also control or delete cookies at any time through the User's browser settings, or, where offline implements a persistent cookie preference center, through that preference center. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect Site functionality.

6.Third-party cookies

offline does not permit third-party advertising cookies on offline.live. Cookies set by service providers, such as Cloudflare for hosting, security, and performance, are limited to what is necessary to operate the Site and are governed by each provider's own privacy and security commitments.

7.Retention of cookie data

Session cookies are deleted automatically at the end of a User's browsing session. Persistent cookies, where used, are retained no longer than necessary for the purpose for which they were set, and in no case beyond the retention periods set out in Section 7 of offline's Privacy Policy for the related personal data.

8.Consent and acceptance

By using the Site after being presented with the applicable cookie notice described in Section 4, and, where opt-in consent is required, by affirmatively accepting non-essential cookies through that notice, a User consents to offline's use of cookies as described in this Policy. A User may withdraw consent at any time in accordance with Section 5, without affecting the lawfulness of any processing carried out prior to withdrawal.

9.Changes to this Policy

offline may update this Policy as its cookie and analytics tooling changes. The "Last updated" date set out above reflects the date of the most recent revision.

This document has been finalized and published after review and approval of counsel and attorney sign-off, in accordance with offline's policy governing public-facing statements. The frameworks in Section 4 are summarized at a general level and are subject to jurisdiction-specific detail (for example, additional US state laws not yet enacted at the time of publishing this document, and evolving APAC guidance).
